Tips for Parents
- Add GP Pocket Points to your child’s app monthly to help them learn the basics of money management and to make it easy for them to buy gift cards.
- Or, buy gift cards on their behalf by using your credit card in the app to purchase a specific gift card.
- DO NOT give your child your two-step authentication password. This helps prevent misuse of your card. GiftPocket will hold parents responsible for any discrepancies per GiftPocket Terms & Conditions.
Is there an age limit for the app?
Yes. To use the GiftPocket app, you must be at least 13 years of age.
Are there any limitations around gift cards we can exchange?
Yes. GiftPocket uses two third-party gift card marketplaces to process our exchange transactions. There may be some instances where a gift card is available on one marketplace but not the other.
When is GiftPocket coming out?
We are working very hard to make sure all your gift cards will be safe, so the app will be coming out in early 2018.
Will GiftPocket be on the Apple App Store and on the Google Play Store?
Yes, and no. GiftPocket will be on the Apple App Store and eventually GiftPocket will be on the Google Play Store.
What are Pocket Points?
Well, do you have any gift cards that you don’t like? Then, with GiftPocket’s Pocket Points, you can finally do something about that problem. You can add your gift card to the app, then convert your gift card into Pocket Points so you can exchange for a gift card that you would actually use.
Will GiftPocket cost money to download?
Of course it won’t, GiftPocket is free to download!
Will I be able to put a password on the app?
Yes, if you want to keep your gift cards even more secure you can have Touch ID or a password on the app.
What brands of gift cards can I add on to the app?
Over 200+ brands, and even if we don’t have that brand you’ll still be able to add the gift card.
